The power of positivity

There are countless incredible stories every day that make us look at life with a new perspective.

Take the story of six year old Yusra. Raised in war-torn Yemen, Yusra was fighting a battle of her own – cancer.

Unable to receive treatment locally, Yusra’s story, mixed with the power of journalism, gained worldwide attention and opened a brand new door for this little lady.

Through the efforts of medical teams who came together to get Yusra to Jordan, she received lifesaving treatment for an aggressive tumour in her left eye. But her left eye was not able to be saved, meaning she lost half her sight and her confidence.

This is where the power of positivity steps in.   

In a heart-warming video, we see Yusra being handed a specially designed artificial eye – and her smile stretches across the globe.

Seeing such incredible stories reminds us why every second put into designing and creating our assisted devices is worth it. We may not be able to directly help everyone on a global scale, so we’ve made sure our 3D designs are freely accessible and easy to follow so anyone with a 3D printer, a spare few hours and some willingness to learn can assemble what we assemble on a weekly basis.
