Team UnLimbited Wins The Alex Moulton Award For 2020

We are delighted to announce that Team UnLimbited has received the Alex Moulton Award for 2020. This has been awarded by the Institution of Engineering Designers (IED) for our work on 3D printed arms and hands.

The Alex Moulton Award was introduced in 2009 by the IED on behalf of our Honorary Fellow, Dr Alex Moulton, to recognise outstanding innovation. 

Previous winners include Andrew Ritchie (Brompton Folding Bike), Pashley Cycles, Pete Lomas (Raspberry Pi founder) and Sir Jonathan Paul Ive (Chief Design Officer, Apple Inc.).

The annual awards ceremony this year unfortunately had to be cancelled due to Covid-19, however we have gratefully received our trophy in the post along with something extra for us to enjoy – an afternoon tea. 

We are looking forward to attending a grand awards lunch in 2021 which will incorporate winners from 2020 and 2021.
